What a Year, Eh What?
Well, it's been a year. The year 2020, to be precise. The year that got Murphy's Law and then went insane. But if I'm being honest, things have taken a turn for the better, though not in ways we expected. Sure, it may not look like it for some of the people who think like me, but appearances are tricky things, and victory likes to hide and wait to jump out to surprise you. Just look at the Cross. Sure, it's been a hard year in many ways, and things are changing constantly, but as for me and our house, we still serve the Lord, and we are still together, perhaps even more so than before in a way or two. Sure, this next year may be even more of a year for the history books than this previous one (though not for the weirdness, I think), but we live in interesting times at the very least. At the most (and most likely)? These days are world-changers. And God doesn't put people in places and times for no reason. Tonight at midnight, the Past and the Future will shake hands. And we need not fear that meeting. The Lord of the things that are, that have been, and that future years shall see, is our Lord, evermore and evermore. Cheer up, chaps (and chaplettes, if that's the feminine). The fun's just beginning.
